Check back soon for a new article featuring some of our terrific Gemini owners from around the world...

In the meantime - here is just a small sample of the type of feedback we get from Gemini owners...

Gemini Catamaran Owners Association LLC

I have Hull No 984, shipped to me here in the UK in April 2007. I have owned and sailed cruising cats since 1982. The Gemini is the fifth and by far the best that I have ever had. I wish I had bought one before! We had some great sailing in the summer and logged over 1,000 nm

(On Buying New versus Used) There are a lot of extenuating factors beside what you can afford. In addition to being handy, if you have the time to wait until you find a highly motivated seller, you can come out pretty well in the end. I never ever considered buying a new boat until I was "lobotomized by love" so to speak when I met Nancy. She liked the "new" one from all the Gems we looked at. Go figure! Anyway, my previous cat was 20 years old when I bought her and while I really enjoyed rehabbing her, I do notice that now, with a new boat, I spend almost all my time thinking of ways to improve her and doing what I "want" to do as opposed to doing what I "have" to do. And that has definitely made the experience more enjoyable.

Congratulations to you all in achieving this milestone! Here is a photo of  #616 "Imagenie" (I'm a Genie) on her mooring in Auckland, New Zealand. She has been here since December 2004 and I believe is the only one in this country. Perhaps the most distant Gemini of all from her home port of Annapolis. Nevertheless she has adapted well to her new home and serves us faithfully for comfortable, speedy local cruising. To celebrate with you we will buy her a new screecher/drifter so she can be sailed enjoyably in light weather.

I'm not surprised at the success of the Gemini. You have remained faithful to the original concept where other builders have fallen into the trap of "Bigger is Better". Not so- the Gemini can be easily managed and handled by one person of moderate ability and strength. This is its secret. It just suits a mid-age or semi-retired couple where one wants to do the sailing and the other is happy in the cabin, lending a hand only when required.

Best wishes to all at Performance Cruising- I hope you have a great celebration!

ATTATA is Gemini hull 196, which acquired us on Easter 1987. Even before she carried us home from PCI’s Mayo factory, we knew that owning a Gemini was not like other “things.” Tony and Sue Smith left for their Easter weekend before we were ready to take ATTATA to Florida, since we had our own electronics to install.
Tony handed us the keys to the entire factory, and access to tools and materials in case we needed any! Wow!

We still have some scrap plastic and teak cut-off pieces from that weekend!

We had no idea that we’d become part of the “Cult of the Gemini” at that time. However, after our very first Gemini raftup in Florida, we understood that the people who chose to own a Gemini were quite special. In the last 20 years we’ve truly enjoyed the friendships and acquaintances that ATTATA has brought. The vigor of the Gemini Gems list serve continues to delight.

Daysailing this afternoon on Sarasota Bay in absolutely perfect conditions allowed me to share this pleasure with a new friend who’s contemplating a boat. “There is nothing -- absolute NOTHING -- half so much worth doing as simply messing-about in boats”… as long as she’s a Gemini!!!

Congratulations on the fourth digit!!!

Congratulations on your achievement!  Your perseverance and and a winning product say it all.

I have attached a recent picture of boat #222 a 1988 model 3000 that has had a recent refit and ready for the next 20 years.

May PCI's future be bright.

I've lived and sailed in So Florida, the Florida Keys and Bahamas for over 30 years. Finally, in 2007, after a long succession of monohulls, I moved to a Gemini 105MC. The best decision I ever made. Why? Substantially more interior space and a large (dry) cockpit; greater storage than my Catalina 320; no heeling, more speed; no more leaking shaft seal; ability to sail/motor in shallower water; much more livable on longer cruises; a diesel engine with easy access, and so on. For year-round Florida use I'd recommend a 12k or 16k A/C for the summer months.
